2007 Limited Edition Commemorative Plate - 75 in Series

Haycock Historical Society's

Haycock Historical Society has ordered 75 of these beautiful plates, made by acclaimed Pennsylvania Guild Pottery Artist, Denise Wilz, to sell at fundraiser at our Kringle Christmas Shoppe on 12/7, 12/8 & 12/9, this year. We will begin taking pre-orders (no money collected up front, just names) at the 9/20/07 meeting. They will sell for $40.00 per plate and can be picked up at Kringle (reserves guaranteed), while the supply lasts.

This year since our Kringle Shoppe will be at a new location, the Bucks County Latvian Baptist Church hall, we've chosen to commemorate the church and the unique Latvian influence in our Haycock Township.

Each plate is hand drawn in the Sgraffito style of the old German Potters of earlier times. On the front, Denise has painstakingly recaptured in her unique stylistic detail, our Bucks County Latvian Baptist Church in Applebachsville, Pennsylvania down to the shrubs and double doors! . Each plate will be titled and have the year etched on its face. On the back will be the words "Built in 1933," the series number, "Haycock Historical Society" and Denise's signature. Each plate will come wrapped in tissue in it's own Kraft box and will include a brass-plated plate hanger. A biography about Denise and her pottery will accompany each order. Members may reserve their plate by posting their request to Chris Handschin.
