Good News!! Kringle will again visit upper Bucks this year.
The same magical
warmth, beauty and spirit of happiness will again be rekindled
at Kringle Christmas Shoppe 2007at its NEW location at the Bucks
County Latvian Baptist Church. Kringle will take place in the
church hall on 1142 Apple Road Applebachsville, tucked neatly on
the back roads of Haycock Township.
This year Kringle is set
for December 7th, 8th & 9th.
Time: Friday 1:00 pm-8:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am -4:00 pm and
Sunday 12:30 pm – 4:00 pm
For the past three years, Haycock Historical Society had hosted
the unique shopping experience at a private home on Pullen
Station road in the township. It will be a tough act to follow
as the charming farmhouse offered a wonderful ambiance.
But the Haycock Historical Society's events committee is
determined to recreate the same magical feel in the meeting hall
of the Latvian Baptist church this year. As before, artists and
fine craftsmen from Haycock township and the contiguous
townships will be invited into the juried show to sell their art
and wares. The society's panel of judges carefully examines the
handwork of each of the participants to assure entries are
unique, top quality and made by the hands and talents of local
artists and handworkers. Haycock Historical Society wishes to
highlight and support the local talent as much as it desires to
raise public awareness of Haycock Township's unique history.
And, by the way, it IS a fundraiser.
Over the years, the event has become as much a social event for
friends and neighbors as it has been a staple for Haycock
Historical Society. Talented local musicians are booked to
perform holiday classics during the entire event, creating an
excellent browsing and social arena. An endless supply of
hot-cocoa and holiday treats welcome guests . Raffle tickets for
gift certificates and items from local businesses are offered to
help raise money for the society along with a percentage of the
sale from each item going towards the cause. This year guest
artists, Calvin Ruth and Dennis Gerhart will be among the fine
artists whose work will be available for sale at Kringle. In
all, over 30 local artists and handworkers will be represented
at the show.
