Gerard F. Deegan


Gerard F. Deegan, 65, of Bethlehem, died Sunday, April 13, 2008, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Kathleen M. (Walters) Deegan. Born in Bethlehem on August 7, 1942, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Haderer) Deegan. Jerry worked for Northampton County Children and Youth Services for 20 years as a supervisor. He owned/operated along with his son Tohickon Family Camp Ground, Quakertown, and had also owned/operated the former Lehigh Valley Police Supply, Whitehall. Survivors: Loving wife of 39 years; son, James P. and his wife Chanin E. of Bethlehem; sister, Mary Frances and her husband Vincent DeAngelo of Bethlehem; two grandchildren, Makenna, Caden. He was predeceased by a daughter, Christine Ann, and a brother, Michael. Services: Family and friends are invited to call 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday and 8:15-9:15 a.m. Friday at Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ursulas Catholic Church, Fountain Hill.
