Susan Kleiner-Grew, of Quakertown, formerly of Levittown, died Monday, March 16, 2009, at home. She was 48.

She was the wife of James Grew, her high school sweetheart. They celebrated 20 years of marriage this past September.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Herman Leonard and Shirley Charlotte (Shapiro) Kleiner.

Susan worked tirelessly as a social worker, professionally for St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital for ten years, and personally, for family and friends for her lifetime.

A proud member of the Haycock Historical Society, she served as secretary, authoring countless articles over the years.

Words such as kind, forgiving, smart, funny, and selfless only begin to describe the person she was. Always "the planner," Susan found it hard to sit still. She loved life and all its simple pleasures - reading, laughing, and lunch with friends.

Disciplined in yoga, her life was the expression of the yoga spirit of "namaste:" the light within me honors the light within you.

In addition to her husband, Susan is survived by two brothers, Marty Kleiner of Lebanon, Pa., and Larry Kleiner and his wife, Karen, of Dayton, Ohio; and two nephews.

A visitation will take place from 1 to 2:30 p.m. immediately followed by a remembrance service on Saturday, March 21, from C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, 821 W. Broad St., Quakertown.

In lieu of flowers, kindly make memorial contributions to Deborah Hospital Foundation, 20 Pine Mill Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015. C. R. Strunk Funeral Home,

Quakertown
