Friday, September 30, 1968 Pennsylvania In 1968, Robert Trauger and Joanna Flannery (left) decided to publicize their new bar with a celebratory hot-air balloon flight. They were aloft and about to pour the first festive cocktail when the balloon was blown off-course and into high-tension wires by high winds; the pair fell out and plummeted to their deaths.
