UBACE Concert & Haycock Historical Society

Haycock Historical Society participated as concessionaires at the most recent UBACE (Upper Bucks
Alliance For Creative Expression) concert held at Strayer Middle School in Quakertown on Saturday
evening May 2, 2009.- Rock & Roll From AC to ZZ. The concert was directed by professional
guitarist/vocalist, Scott Erickson and included nearly 40 local teen vocalists and musicians.

HHS has a three year history of involvement with UBACE and considers it to be one of the great new
organizations the county has produced. The Alliance was created by local parents and backed by local
business men in order to provide a nurturing environment for musically and artistically oriented youth.
Teens from all over the Bucks and Lehigh Valley area are involved, honing their talents with professional
musicians to produce two themed concerts per year. Crowds of up to 700 have attended to hear the
area's talented teens. The May 2 concert was performed to a near capacity auditorium.
Events and Fundraising branch of the society collected soda and water from members. They also
sold soft pretzels and made and sold cookies to raise funds for HHS.
The society is grateful for the partnership with UBACE and looks forward participation in the future.
